Science and Judaism

Question:

Can I be a scientist and be an Observant Jew at the same time?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

Yes, you can. There is absolutely no reason at all why a Jew cannot be a Jew and also be a scientist. Even an internationally renowned one. In fact, my wife's uncle was a world-renowned nuclear physicist and an extremely accomplished Talmud scholar as well. A number of scholars and rabbis on the Gateways’ staff are recognized science scholars as well.

There are no contradictions between proven science and Torah teachings. Many books have been written and published in English by renowned scientists to explain scientific topics in accordance with Judaism. Good luck with your studies and career!
