Planning the Future

Question:

How do I plan my future and pursuit it? I never seem to know what I want, and seem to “blow with the wind”.

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

Unfortunately, I do not have any special methods that will make you more focused on your future. There is only one way that a person can motivate themselves to stay on track and that is by recognizing that the greater plan is more important than the immediacy of whatever else is on hand. It means that you have to build a plan for the immediate future and for the mid-term future and to stick with it. How? By repeating the mantra that the end result is what you need and where you need to be, and not to allow yourself to become distracted by everything that is around you.
