An Orthodox Jew is a label for one who tries to follow the ways of the Torah as given by God to the Jewish People at Mt. Sinai and taught from generation to generation to this day. The laws are codified in the Shulchan Aruch and any questions are answered by the great Torah scholars of each generation, based of intense Torah study, tradition and a righteous and God-fearing character.
