Does art in its various forms (paintings, sculpture, music) conflict with Judaism or Jewish beliefs?
AskTheRabbi.org answered:
No. Judaism looks at art in its various forms as being a method of revealing spiritual dimensions in the world. Visual art is not problematic at all (although some authorities consider some three dimensional arts as problematic). Music is described by our Rabbis as being the language of the soul and was absolutely fundamental to the services in the Temple.
