Never Too Late

Question:

Is it ever too late for a person to repent of his\her sins?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

No, it is never too late to repent. The very first ingredient that anyone needs to be able to change one's lifestyle is strength of conviction. Maimonides writes in the Mishna Torah that there are three stages involved in repentance and returning to a more spiritual life. They are:

1. Regret

2. Confessing the sin to God in prayer

3. Commitment not to repeat it in future.
