Heating Pizza on Shabbat

Question:

Dear rabbi, is it permitted to defrost a frozen pizza and put it on the hotplate on Shabbat? If allowed how do I have to do it? Thanks so much.

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

If the pizza is cooked and just needs to be heated up it is permitted to do so if the pizza is not placed directly on the platter. If there are drops of ice on the pizza it may be a problem to put it on the platter and it would be better to wait until the ice has melted of its own accord before placing it on the platter.
