Torah and Modern Communication Devices

In this the modern age of technology and how vast it's growing, my question is this. If I download a Torah app on an iPhone, am I allowed to carry it into the restroom or am I supposed to treat it as a religious object, like a prayer book etc., which is sacred and is not allowed in the restroom? Thank you.

As long as you don't open it in bathroom there is no problem with having it on your phone. The reason is because when left unopened the app is just the technology - it is not the actual content.
