Touching Trees During Shemita

Question:

I live in Israel. Someone recently told me that during Shemita (the land’s Sabbatical year) it is forbidden to touch a tree or a leaf. Is this true?

No, it isn’t. The only prohibition that I know of that is similar is that it is forbidden to prune a tree and remove browning leaves from a tree or a bush.
