I never had a Jewish education. I want to know what Yom Kippur is without having to read an encyclopedia. I'd appreciate hearing what Yom Kippur is in 25 words or less.

Yom Kippur means "Day of Atonement". We fast and think about what we’ve done wrong. God promises to forgive us if we resolve to improve. (See Levicticus 23:26-32)
