Minyan for Pidyon HaBen?

Question:

Does one require a minyan (a quorum of ten men) at a Pidyon HaBen (redemption of the first-born)? Or is it ok to have just a Kohen and close family members?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

While the accepted custom is to do the Pidyon HaBen with a minyan there is no obligation to have a minyan present.
