Tithing Interest?

Question:

If I earned interest or income on money that I placed in an account, am I obligated to give a tithe on this interest? I already paid a tithe on the money I put in the account!

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

Yes, the interest is considered part of your income and you should factor it into your tithing obligations. This interest is new income, and you didn’t yet tithe it.
