Menorah Wicks in the Temple

_Did the menorah in the Beit Hamikdash (Temple) have wicks? If yes, what were they made of? Were there ashes from the menorah burning? Thank you.

In the Temple the wicks for the Menorah were made out of linen that was taken from the worn out clothing of the Priests. The Menorah cups were filled with the purest olive oil that there was available which did not leave any residue when it burnt down.
