Personally my favorite rendition is the classic story - a band of unworldy Priests going to battle against the mightiest army of the day and being victorious only because of the courage and strength of the beliefs that one must be prepared to fight for the right to practice one's Judaism. For me that is the most inspiring dimension of a story that is replete with fascinating and beautiful concepts.
