Prayer Direction

Question:

Do Orthodox Jews have to face a certain direction at sundown to pray? If so would that be everyday or just on Shabbat?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

The Code of Jewish Law determines that we should always face towards Jerusalem - from any position in the globe for all of the Prayer Services. This is essential for certain prayers, such as the silent prayer called "Shmone Esrei".
