Circling Nine Times?

I was wondering why someone would circle the chatan (groom) nine times under the chuppah (wedding canopy)? Is there any problem if this happened?

There is no custom like that that I am familiar with. The accepted custom is to circle the chatan seven times. There is a lesser know custom to circle the chatan only three times. If the kallah (bride) circled the chatan nine times it does not have any negative impact and the couple are definitely married!
