Milk After Meat

Question:

How long do I have to wait to have a glass of milk after eating a hamburger to be Kosher?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

A person should wait approximately six hours (unless your family has another recognized custom within Jewish Law, e.g. three hours, in which case you may follow their custom) before eating or drinking all dairy products.
