The Dead Sea

Question:

Why is the Dead Sea called by that name?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

Because the salt content in the sea is so high that nothing can grow in the water. The Dead Sea is actually a fascinating place as the water is so salty that it is impossible to drown in the water - the body just keeps bobbing to the surface.
